I.O.L.I. Proficiency Program

OVERVIEW

The International Organization of Lace, Inc. Proficiency Program for Lacemaking was originally established in 2004 for I.O.L.I. members wishing to pursue recognition of their lacemaking skills. The journal-based program is designed to allow participants to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of lacemaking techniques for a specific family of laces. Topics include Torchon Technical, Tape Laces, Point Ground Laces, Bedfordshire, Tatting, Torchon Mastery, and Advanced Study. Candidates who pursue the program are invited to submit their work for critique by an Assessment Committee. Successful completion of the program will be recognized with a certificate and pin, plus a featured article in the I.O.L.I. Bulletin. Current I.O.L.I. membership is required in order to participate. The cost to register is $25.00 US per Journal.
